The Classic of Mountains and Seas The Return of the Mountains and Seas EP 30

Long ago, the world was divided into two realms—the ancient wilderness and the mortal world—kept apart by a powerful Taiji barrier. Beyond them lies a mysterious void filled with a dark purple force capable of corrupting souls, twisting the laws of nature, and throwing the balance of the world into chaos. To protect both realms, twelve legendary beasts from the mountains and seas were chosen to become divine guardians. Each carried a Destiny Jade Pendant and was entrusted with maintaining the barrier, protecting countless lives, and sealing dangerous rifts whenever they appeared in the other realm. But when a catastrophe causes the two realms to collapse into chaos, the twelve divine beasts are unexpectedly thrown into the mortal world. Their memories disappear, their identities are lost, and they are forced to live among ordinary people without knowing who they truly are.Their peaceful lives are soon threatened by Nightfall, a mysterious organization devoted to the dark power beyond the realms. By gathering ancient runes and the twelve Destiny Jade Pendants, Nightfall plans to tear open the Taiji barrier and unleash the forbidden force upon the world. Meanwhile, the Holy Temple and various human factions have their own hidden agendas, creating an even more dangerous conflict from within. As the darkness spreads, the twelve divine beasts gradually awaken and begin remembering fragments of their forgotten identities. Along the way, they form new friendships, uncover ancient secrets, and search for the scattered runes while battling Nightfall's growing influence.Their journey becomes more than a fight to restore their lost home. They must protect the mortal world, cleanse the corruption spreading across the land, and seal the deadly rifts threatening to tear reality apart. United by a shared desire to protect all living beings, the twelve guardians eventually overcome the forces seeking to plunge the world into darkness. In the end, they make a choice that changes everything. Rather than returning to the ancient wilderness, they gather all twelve Destiny Jade Pendants and use their combined power to permanently reinforce the barrier between the realms. Choosing the mortal world as their new home, they remain behind to protect its people and preserve the balance of heaven and earth. From forgotten mythical beasts to eternal guardians, the twelve become legends whose duty is passed down through generations—the Twelve Guardians of Order, standing watch over a world they once never expected to call home.
