Synopsis Cultivators battle superpowers

Iwamori was once a name that shook the cultivation world — a master whose power stood at the very peak, feared by tyrants and revered by disciples. But strength could not protect what mattered most. His students were slaughtered, one by one, by enemies who feared his rise. Consumed by grief and vengeance, Iwamori waged war against them — only to be sealed away by their combined forces and cast into the void.

When he opened his eyes again, the world had changed.

Gone were the mountains and spiritual veins of his homeland. In their place stood a modern society filled with skyscrapers, flashing lights, and people who wielded strange abilities called “superpowers.” Here, those blessed with power were known as heroes — public figures who battled monsters and protected the world in plain sight.

But when Iwamori first arrived, no one saw a hero.

Sensing his overwhelming aura and unfamiliar energy, the local heroes mistook him for a catastrophic threat. They attacked without hesitation. Confused yet unyielding, Iwamori defended himself, meeting their powers with techniques honed through centuries of cultivation. Several clashes later, both sides realized the truth: he was not a monster — just a stranger from another world.

Though reluctant at first, Iwamori began to intervene when disasters struck. Again and again, he stood between destruction and the innocent. The public slowly came to see him not as an invader, but as a guardian. The man who once walked a path of revenge found himself wearing the title of “hero.”

Eventually, he was invited to teach at a prestigious academy for superpowered youth. There, instead of leading disciples into battle, he guided students struggling to understand their own abilities. He introduced them to the discipline and philosophy of cultivation — inner balance, patience, control — concepts foreign to a world obsessed with flashy powers and instant results.

At first, teaching was merely a means to an end. Iwamori still searched for a way back to his original world, driven by unfinished vengeance and unanswered questions. But something unexpected began to happen.

Through his students’ laughter, stubbornness, fear, and growth, the hardened shell around his heart began to crack. He saw in them reflections of the disciples he had lost. He remembered what it meant to protect not out of hatred — but out of care.

Yet peace is fragile.

His arrival did not go unnoticed. The seal that once bound him had weakened the boundaries between worlds. Powerful entities from other realms began to slip through, drawn by his presence and the energy he carried. The superpowered world, once stable and orderly, now stood on the brink of chaos.

To protect this new world — and perhaps atone for the destruction tied to his past — Iwamori must stand once more at the frontlines. Not as a vengeful master seeking blood, but as a teacher, a guardian, and a man learning that strength alone does not define a hero.

Sometimes, being powerful is easy.

Choosing to care again is the true challenge.
